Phelps, Jenkins, Gibson & Fowler, L.L.P. participates in the University of Alabama School of Law on-campus interviewing process and also accepts resumes from interested applicants. Traditionally, the firm hosts an introductory reception at its office located at 1201 Greensboro Avenue in Tuscaloosa each Fall and Spring Semester. The reception offers an opportunity for interested students to meet the attorneys and tour the firm's facility.

The Summer Associate Program typically begins at the end of May and offers two (2) - six week sessions ending in August. The summer associates are assigned a different practice group to work with each week. Rotating the summer associates through each division exposes the students to various practice fields and allows the attorneys and the summer associates to become acquainted.

Being in Tuscaloosa is convenient for summer associates who want to attend summer school classes. The firm does not require its summer associates to work full time so students are able to attend classes if they desire.

Phelps, Jenkins is currently a firm of 11 attorneys. The firm provides unlimited use of Westlaw, various Internet libraries, CD-ROM services, internal and external email, and full Internet access. The summer associates also utilize the services of the firm's paralegals, library, and support staff.
